The private room was incredibly spacious and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was definitely the best value for money compared to other places I've stayed. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen was well-equipped. Despite being a bit away from the city center, the location was actually a positive as it was quieter.
I do recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing experience at La Guaca Hostel. The value for my money was outstanding, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient, just a short bus ride from the center of town. The staff treated me like family, especially Ana who was so sweet and caring during my entire stay. This hostel is definitely a hidden gem!
Food for breakfast could be improved by addressing the issue of ants and flies in the kitchen.

The hostel's location is not the best, as there is nothing around in the area and finding food late at night can be a challenge.
The top bunks are too high and don't have proper rails, causing safety concerns.

My stay at La Guaca Hostel was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, with a perfect balance of quiet and sociable. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Daniel who went above and beyond to accompany me to the hospital and translate for me. The hostel offers a kitchen area for guests to use, and you can easily book tours from here. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast included was delicious. I highly recommend this hostel.
It is worth mentioning that the location is a bit far from the main town, and the shower head was not the best. But these were minor inconveniences and did not affect my overall experience.

The hostel is located in a quiet area, away from the busy city center. Guests mentioned that it's a 10, 15 minute walk to the center, but some found this to be a pleasant stroll. the rooms in the hostel are spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning and comfortable beds. the dorm bathrooms are well, maintained, and the hostel provides a delicious free breakfast. There are also various facilities available, such as a self, catering kitchen, a pool, and chill.
Some guests felt that the hostel lacked a vibrant atmosphere and personal connection with the staff. They mentioned that the interactions with the owners/receptionists were minimal, and they would have appreciated more engagement.
